Lose internet connection upon SP2 install

Hi all,

Everytime I install SP2 on my computer from Professional It tends to block
out my internet connection. Even running Professional on my computer my
internet connection seems to just lose it's connection after a few minutes.
Then it regains it once again, before totally losing a connection. But the
main problem here resides w/ the SP2. I've gone and done every trick I've
found from all these support newgroups and nothing works. Is there anyone who
can help?

I don't know what "every trick I've found" entails. Did you get the
latest drivers for your network adapter? Obviously you'd want to have
these on hand before installing SP2. Is this an OEM machine and if so,
did you install any patches that needed to be applied before installing
SP2? Was the machine completely virus/malware-free before installing
SP2?

Since I don't know what you did or anything about your computer and its
hardware, that's as specific as I can get.
