Lose connection on user switch

John mackay

Hi

I have just set up new users on my XP home PC. When I did it first the
machine used to hold my internet connection whilst changing accounts. Now
for some reason it has started to disconnect when I log out or switch users.
I dont think I did anything as I liked it to stay connected.

Any one any ideas what has happened? I can't find anything in Windows help

Thanks

A Guest account can use an already on Cable/DSL/LAN connection or
already connected Dial-up [from other user account] using Fast user
Switching. During Fast user Switching: while the connection is
retained for broadband connections, Dial-up connections might
terminate while switching users. To prevent that, set the
"KeepRasConnections" value to 1 in the Registry.
