I've inherited a windows xp home ed PC + wireless network with a laptop. One afternoon after windows crash on the PC the network stopped working. I tried pinging the wireless network adapter IP - request timeout, the same with the loopback address 127.0.0.1. I've tried resetting the TCP/IP without any success. Still I can access the dial-up Internet thru the PC, but I do need the WLAN working. Help.
Un-install any firewall program, then try the pings again. If they
work, re-install the firewall program.
If that doesn't fix it, here are some other possibilities:
1. Use System Restore to go back to a time before the crash occurred.
