Loopback adapter

J

Jeff Drouin

I would like map a drive on my C drive. I use this to run
programs that call from a network drive when I'm normally
logged onto the LAN. I works fine when I have a network
connection. I would like to access it when I don't have a
network connection. But I don't see where I can set a
Loopback adapter to make my laptop think it has a network
connection.

Can anyone help me please.

Thank you
Jeff

To install the loopback adapter:

1. Go to Control Panel | Printers and Other Hardware.
2. Click "Add Hardware".
3. Click Next.
4. Select "Yes, I have already connected the hardware".
5. Click Next.
6. Select "Add a new hardware device" from the list and click Next.
7. Select "Install the hardware that I manually select from a list"
and click Next.
8. Double click Network Adapters.
9. Click Microsoft Loopback Adapter and click Next twice.
10. Click Finish.
