Lookup Value

can anyone tell me if it is possible to lookup a value in column 5 of
a table and return the corresponding value in column 1 of the same
table.

I know I can use VLOOKUP to find the value in column 1 of a table and
return the corresponding value in column 5 but I want to be able to do
the reverse.

Thanks Dave, I'd already got the answer from trawling through the
newsgroups before you posted your reply exactly as you've shown, bang
on the money for what I want.
