Looking for weather freeware

Can anyone recommend a non-spyware free weather program? I'm ready to
junk Weather Watcher because the current conditions won't load half
the time. Everything else I've seen is adware, shareware, or pay an
annual fee for added features.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'd suggest staying with Weather Watcher. In fact, if you e-mail the
author at (e-mail address removed) with the subject "Please send the
beta" (minus the quotes), you'll get a link from him to the beta which
doesn't have the problems with downloading/parsing updates. I
downloaded it earlier this afternoon, and it's working really well so
far.

If you really don't want to wait for a new version which has fixes
(from what I've read, Mike expects for there to be a fix Monday or
Tuesday) and you don't want to be a beta tester, then the app Tiger
linked to, Weather Pulse, is also very good.

I also need something like this, but it would be great if it could give me a
weather info for eastern Europe/Southeast Europe.
I llive in Balkan region, but Weather Pulse only has American cities.

Try the beta version of Weather Watcher - it works fine. I and others have
had the same problem with the released version but the beta version is just
fine.

Are you certain of that? What city are you trying to find?

I use Weather Pulse (version 1.54), and it just uses the data base from
weather.com -- which I thought covers the whole world. (It even finds
"Basingstoke" here in the UK, which is pretty obscure.)

By the way, there's also a work-round to get Weather Pulse to show the
temperature in degrees C -- it uses cookies, but there ya' go:

Open Weather Pulse; click on "view this forecast at weather.com"

Scroll down and tick the box to show in "metric" rather than "English"
(that's a bit rich: here in England we use the "metric" temperatures).

Save the cookie that weather.com has put on your machine (which tells
it you want the display in celcius).

seconded - I get weather from wherever I choose - Europe, Asia, States
etc using Weather Pulse.

Currently got where I am going on hols next year, last year, home and
where family live abroad.

It;s also very easy to switch which city (really even a small town)
you want to view.

cheers

I deleted weather pulse just yesterday and went back to weatherbug. Pulse
had some good features but got so it wouldn't update. I checked firewall
and it was letting it through so don't know what it's problem was. I even
removed it and downloaded a fresh version and it did the same thing.
Weatherbug shows several things that I like also like the hi and low as well
as the current temp for the day, moon phases, etc.
