Looking for player for streaming wmv files

bandwidth issue...

you can however download them with various programs that exist for
downloading streamed content,
slowley at your pace, and then view them later from your hard drive

this site helps you download some streaming content from sites
http://keepvid.com/

use a download manager like www.freedownloadmanager.org to right click on
the link that
that site generates and download the file with the download manager.

if the content you are trying cannot be downloaded with this, there are
other programs that can
download any wmv streamed content, but they are not freeware (the good ones
at least)

I'm trying to view streaming wmv files in windows media player. I'm on a
dialup and I just can't watch them. Is there any software that will
"degrade the quality" of the video so I can watch it? Or is this just a
bandwidth issue only?

Anyone know of a wmv player that will allow me to buffer 5 minutes of the
stream at a time?

In windows media player you can set the amount of buffer time

see screenshot:

It will only let me buffer 60 seconds at the most. Are there any players
that will allow more buffering? If not, is there any software that will
allow me to download only 5 minutes of the video?
