For some odd reason pc came out of hibernation after < 1/2 hr. I thought if
I turn hibernation off I could delte the file. Then re-enable it and have it
recreated. But I don't seem able to find it. What am I missing doing? TIA?

Turn off hibernation here :
Control Panel > Power options > Hibernation tab

The file used for storing RAM's content is "C:\hiberfil.sys". It is a
System+Hidden file so to see it, you have to enable Hidden Files + Uncheck
"Hide protected system files" in Folder Options' View tab.

Good Luck, Ayush.

Turning hibernation off should delete the file c:\hiberfil.sys. It's
marked system and hidden, so to see it or delete it you must change those.

Ok Thanks guys.
I knew the name of the file. And also knew it was a hidden file. What I
forgot was the hidden system file option.
Unfort. I still have the problem. The pc will no longer stay Hibernated. Now
I know the pc won't stay in Standby and I had accepted that. I never dound
the driver or appl. taking it out of Standby, so I let it go. But now it's
starting to look like
I can't Hibernate either? So that leaves me w/just having to power down or
leave it on all the time after the screen saver blanks the screen.

Any more ideas? I am at a loss here. Thanks again.
