VirtualDub

Digital video is being posted to the web, and included in
presentations in greater numbers than ever before. You don't have to
own a high-end digital video package to do basic video editing.
An open source product, it is amazingly easy to split, join, and
capture video. A special plus is that there is no install. Copy the
files down and run the exe file and you're set.
Not a lot of support for all formats. The most workable is AVI
format. If you have something in another format, features will
disable.

vStrip

vStrip is a VOB de-multiplexing tool, splitter and some other
functions that work on VOB/IFO files. vStrip is a small
win32-command-line utility for stripping (=removing) unwanted
streams (=data packets) out of VOBs (Video Objects) without having
to reweave the VOB, or extracting the data contained inside a single
stream. It also parses IFO-files so it (hopefully) doesn't get
confused by multi-angle VOBs. This tool now comes with a GUI
(Graphical User Interface) - you may also want to use Danni Din's
GUI instead.
