Hi John............do you know if BS Player has its own DVD Decoder or does
or depend on it's presence from another source?

Search GOOGLE for: "FusionSoft DVD". It plays from DVD disk or file from
hard disk.

Pretty sure it will play DVDs without a problem (it did on my ME
system.) However, you'll need to download a codec pak to play MPEG,
WMV and the like.
