Wooden cases are not computer friendly. They insulate, trap damaging
heat inside, and do not dissipate static charges. As much as I like
the look and feel of wood, aluminum is a better choice.

Well that depends on their base... in my shop the cases have a normal
case as base and the outside surfaces are made with high quality
veneers. The cooling is ok for every configuration.
