Looking for an RSS Reader with a twist

My company is looking into the ability to send messages to end users
desktop. I have looked at several desktop alert applications, but am
wondering if this could be done via RSS. My concern is that if we
install the RSS reader on their pc's they will be able to access other
feeds and not just the one we specify. Has anyone come across a reader
that will 1.) allow us to lock down which feeds they can get and 2.)
have this preconfigured when doing the install, so we don't have to
manually do it.

Thanks

I haven't seen one available like that, but there are plenty of RSS
readers at planetsourcecode.com, so if someone in the company is even
a little familiar with VB, they can download the source and modify it
to be a single-site reader. You'd also have to maintain a server to
send the RSS feed from.
