Looking for a simple case.

Hi,

I'm looking to buy a simple case for my PC that'll be easy to lug
around places. I'd need room for 4 hard drives and 4 - 5.25 inch
external drive bays. If possible, I'd like it to be black or silver.
Again I must emphasize a simple looking case thats easy to carry.

If anyone has any suggestions on models, I'd be more than appreciative.
Cost really isn't an issue here, I'm just trying to downgrade my case
from a Thermaltake Armor VA8000BWS (huge case).

Thanks again, I appreciate it.

I don't understand, you're trying to downgrade, but cost is no
option??? Anyway, did you try Newegg and drill down through their
cases? And then try Cyberguys and order one of their handy carrying
strap thingies.

What I meant to say is that the price doesn't matter. I'm just looking
for a smaller, simpler case thats easy to move around. I'm wondering if
anyone has any particular models in mind that they like. Sorry for the
misunderstanding.

Try getting rid of all those drives you don't need.

Unless you're pirating software/films/music on a commercial scale, you
only need a DL DVDRW and one or two 500GB drives at most.

I could probably drop down to 3 external bays, but I still need room
for 4 hard drives. Two are Raptors in RAID0, one is my Linux disk, and
the last is for storage. Anyway, if anyone has any ideas on case models
that could support this and still be relatively small/simple, I'd
appreciate it greatly.

Thanks,

A UK based computing magazine called Custom PC made a really helpful
review of quality cases a while back. I think they archive everything
like that. This is a great enthusiast magazine and they definitely know
what they are talking about, so check that out... Also, check the cases
section at kustompc.co.uk (not related to the magazine) for some
inspiration.
Good luck!
