Looking for a keyboard with normal F-keys

I'm tired of my Logitech keyboard which always turns off the standard "F"
keys and defaults to proprietary functions. I've already tried the "pass
through" option, but it doesn't work in all cases so what would you
recommend? Does anyone make a multimedia keyboard like the Logitech
Navigator that has standard F-keys? I want a wired keyboard with a standard
PS2 plug so I can get into my BIOS settings when necessary. TIA

Thanks of the reply, but I should have been more specific. What I like
about the Logitech Navigator keyboard is it's scroll-wheel, email key that
opens Outlook Express, volume control keys, etc. I want these features
along with standard F keys.

I bet Logitech will build you a keyboard exactly like you
want for less than $1,000,000.00

Unless you are capable of doing the design engineering and paying a small
fortune for someone to construct a prototype for you, you are pretty much
stuck. Google for keyboards and look at each and every suggestion that comes
up. There must be someone who makes exactly what you want.

If you scan the windowxp.generat newsgroup, you should find a registry hack
that reverses the "F" keys. If you use it, the F keys work as they should
(ie: F1, F2...) when the default is used.

BTW: There is also a patch for those with Microsoft keyboards.

Yes, but it only works after Windows boots and he wants the
F keys to work "normally" before booting so he can open the
BIOS.

Note, If the F-Lock key is pushed as soon as the computer ON
button is pressed the keys function normally.

That's not exactly right. My reference to being able to get into the BIOS
pertains to the PS2 type connector. If I use a keyboard with a USB
connector it doesn't work at all until Windows loads. The DEL key is used
to access the BIOS on my current mobo so the F-key issue doesn't come into
it.

Anyway, thanks to everyone who responded. I'm going to hold off for the
moment on getting Logitech to design a keyboard just for me and look for the
registry hack that Yves mentioned.

If that is your issue, have you tried using the PS/2-USB
converter and plugging into the PS/2 port?

Also, check your BIOS to see if USB support is turned ON in
the BIOS, most modern mobo will support USB and don't need
to wait for Windows to boot.
