looking for a good journal template

Well, you won't find it here I'm afraid; this newsgroup is for the
database software Microsoft Access(TM).

There are innumerable "Live Journal" websites on the Net. Is that what
you have in mind?

no not really - I want to keep it on my hard drive - don't know how my
posting ended up in Access. Word does have a template but it's too flowery.
Just looking to see what's out there.

There is or was a program call "Daily Journal" that did a good job. It
was put out by Parson's Technology, which has changed hands since then I
believe.

your question is not related to that database. You are much more likely to

devoted to your subject.
