Journal entries for a contact

I thought Outlook 2007 was a way to keep track of what your conversations
are. Unfortunately I cannot figure out how to post a journal entry for a
contact.

I know the help says to go to Actions on the Contact Ribbon and Create a
Journal Entry, but there is no such link on the Contact Ribbon.

How do I keep track of my conversations with a contact. There also does not
appear to be a way to link a Journal entry with a contact if you go by
opening the Journal entry first.

I would like to start using Outlook as my contact manager, but Act! is a
much easier tool for keeping track of appointments, activities and history on
a contact. Can Outlook do the same?

Sorry, but this newsgroup is for questions about Access, the database
product that's part of Office Professional.

You'd be best off reposting your question to a newsgroup related to Outlook.

I have the same problem and when i searched on this issue, this group came
up. In looking at all of the topics, it is an Outlook forum. Perhaps you
should just answer the question and not be so rude.

Hi Kim

I don't know how you are looking at this group but this is definitely an
Access Forum,
not Outlook.

I think it more helpful than rude to try to steer people to the forum
most likely to help them.

Kim, Douglas was being factual. This newsgroup is in fact for Access, and the
person posting would in fact do better to ask in a group supporting Outlook.

Microsoft's help engine is somewhat to blame; some questions in Office
programs bring you to the general Office newsgroups. There are lots of Office
programs - Outlook being just one - and the Access group is the first in
alphabetical order, so it's easy to land here by mistake.

Please accept that nobody here is trying to insult you or be rude. We're all
unpaid volunteers donating time to help people... not to drive them away.
