Long load time

I know this is a cross post(the other is found in the
general NG) but I noted that this one is being read,
according to Bill Sanderson, who I assume is involved in
the project. The AntiSpyware program, is the very last to
load into memory, and thus the very last to load in system
tray. This loading takes about 1-1\2 minutes from power
on. I have used bootvis and done a boot defrag to no
effect. I have to wait for up to a minute, after my
desktop is loaded, and my connection established. This
means that I have to wait for a minute before opening, and
using IE, in order to insure that I'm protected. This is
entirely too long and in fact is a lifetime in computing
speed terms. Thanks. TTFN.

I gather that you think I'm some sort of newbie Randy. You
really shouldn't let your suppositions get in the way. I
would never have reported this issue if my OS had not met
the "MINIMUM" requirements. My system far exceeds them, as
a matter of fact. Actually, I give advice daily on
optimizing and tweaking XP for performance as well as
solving it's problems. This seems to be something inherent
in the program, and has nothing to do with my system, as
far as I can tell. I'll have to try a program that alters
the loading order to see it there's any difference in the
programs innitiation time. This maybe related to the
loading of the real time scanning, but if this is the
case, then it needs to be drastically improved.TTFN.

No, not at all.

Be reminded that this is a Beta product and it does have issues,
as do many or most betas.

At this time, it *seems* to be a resource hog (opinion) & increase
boot time - this will improve in later releases as MSFT collates
the feedback from these NG's and elsewhere.

Is there anything else I can help you with?
