Logs on Windows 2000 server

Dear Sir/Madam

on one of my win2k server machine, when i check any logs
through Event viewer if again clicked back on the same
logs, there are no logs-i.e. logs are getting cleared
automatically,checked the properties: overwrite the logs
after 7 days option is selected.

Is there any other properties that I have to check &
change?

Kindly guide me.

How about Max Log size?
How much are you give them max log size and How much do you have current log size?
If you inclease log size what happen?

Dear Sir,

Max Size is 512Kb

& Log Size was approx 256Kb

did you set filters?
check file AppEvent.Evt, sysEvnt.Evt, SecEvent.Evt under Windows(or Winnt or eles)\System32\Config\
open file with wordpad or text editor and compaire between before and after.
