Logout/Logon with different user causes double logon prompt

Hello,

I have an XP workstation that is a member of a local domain. When I log
onto the XP workstation via the console as domain admin, then log out, then
logon to the XP workstation using a different domain user account I have to
logon once, wait about 2 minutes for the prompt to go away and it then goes
to a blank
screen for another two minutes. Then I get a another logon prompt just like
the first one and I have to login again and this time it will really login.

Any ideas why this is happening or how I can fix it?

Thanks in-advance for any help.

It appears that this problem only happens when I logon to the console,
logoff, and then RDP to the machine with a different id.

Any ideas?

I don't think so. These are just plan vanilla installations running in
VMWare virtual machines. Note that it works fine if I logon to the console,
but acts up if I RDP to the client machine.
