Hi.
I have 5 databases on my system which I've been able to go in and out of
with no restrictions.
I was in the Analyse wizard in one of them and right at the end there was a
message saying something about user lock.
Not having a clue about what it meant I went into User-Level Security
Wizard, and gave permission (so I thought) to everything, but I now have a
logon window with my Windows Id, thank goodness it has the sense to know I
never created a password so I just click OK, which I don't want. So I went
into User & Group Permissions and User & Group Accounts (very confusing) to
allow everything to everyone but now ALL the databases on my system have
this stupid logon.

How, Oh HOW can I get Access to go back to its default as in NO RESTRICTIONS
whatsoever.
Thank you
J

It sounds like you've modified the default workgroup file "system.mdw". You
don't say which version you're using but I think I'm right in saying that
from A2k on, you can delete it and Access will recreate a new "clean" one on
startup.
