Logon pop up

I copied a database to another user on another workstation, but the user
always gets a Logon Pop Up request for a password, with their name as userID.
However, the Access 2000 database was created with no security restrictions
whatsoever. The user is not getting the Logon Pop Up with any other
Microsoft software, and the user has full rights when we look at the database
properties. How can we avoid getting the Logon Pop Up? Thx.

The Access user level security popup is triggered by what workgroup file is
being used, not the MDB file you are opening. In other words that user
should be getting that popup regardless of which Acces file they attempt to
open and the issue has nothing to do with your file at all.

If you find that this is the case then this means that at some point their
default workgroup file was changed to one that requires a login. If they
change their default workgroup file to one that does not require a login (no
password on the default user "Admin") then the prompting will stop.
