I am running Windows XP clients on a Windows 2000 server
network with active directory. I have three domain
controllers in a domain of about 250 clients. While some
clients login almost immediately some others take a long
time to login. Does anyone know what may be causing this?
thanks,

The most likely cause of slow logins is incorrect DNS settings on the
client. The client PC should only be looking at the DNS server on the
network, and no other DNS server entries should be present.
