Logon take long time

Hi there,

The company previous is using 1 subnet 10.10.10.x.
Recently move part of the client PC to another subnet
10.10.20.x and connect the 2 subnet using router. The DC
still in the 10.10.10.x subnet.

After that user complain log on to the domain take 1-5
minutes.

I can ping another subnet and I sure that the router is
ok. I try to add another DC to the 10.10.20.x subnet but
still the same. I also try to disjoin and rejoin the
client PC - still no used.

Another problems is some PC is ok (take 10-20 seconds) and
some PC just take few seconds. The worst thing is same PC,
which log in fast, some user is fast but some user is
slow - it drive me crazy and my manager want me to solve
it!!! ~_~

Today I try to look in to the DNS Server and found out
that the client old DNS record still in the domain so I
delete it. But it seem like the same!!!

Any ideas?

Thank you very much.

Regard,
Chai

are you using roaming profiles? does it happen for the same users no matter
which computer they logon to in that subnet? It may be that the router is
droping packets for the Kerbous authinication. Check router stats and see
if packets are being droped.

What kind of router are you using?
