Logon Script problem.

S

hi,

I have Windows 2000 Pro and WinXP clients.
Here I found that the logon script sometimes (not always) doesn't run with
the WinXP PCs,
but the logon script is always alright with the Win2000 Pro PCs.
Did anyone have the same experience?
PS: I have experienced the same with both Win2000 and Win2003 Server.
Please help.

THX.

I had a similar problem and what seemed to fix it was to change a setting in
the Group Policy that says to run the login script asyncronously.

Hi,

The problem is that Windows XP doesn’t wait for things to start before
logging on. There is a setting in Group Policies you can enable to
make it act better and run like Windows 2000. IT is located in
CompConfig- Admin Templates-System-Logon "Always wait for the network
at computer startup and logon". I would set at Domain or computer
level.

Cheers,

Lara
