Logon script field deleted after 2003 server added to domain

I recently added a 2003 Server as my second domain controller.
Original DC was a windows 2000 box. I ran adprep /forestprep and
/domainprep and all seemed to work. Sysvol was created on the 2003
server, etc.

Next morning users logged in and the logon script did not run. I
checked their user profiles and the logon script field was blank for
users where it used to say Login.bat. So I reset the value for one
user, logged him off, logged him back in and poof, the logon script
field is blank again.

I turned off the 2003 DC, reset all the profiles and it still happens.
Users can browse to the \\server\sysvol\XXX.com\scripts\ directory and
run the login.bat file and it works. But logging in removes the value
from the field in their profile.

Any ideas?

I noticed that if I reset the password field from the 2003 server it
will stick. But setting the value from the 2000 server will cause the
value to be overwritten when the user logs in.
