Logon screen changed

I have Windows XP Home. The system had the graphic logon screen, listing
each account name with a picture.

Suddenly, after logging off, it reverted to the dialog box login, asking for
username and password, similar to XP Pro (or Win 98 when accts are set up).

How do I change this back?

Hi,

click on users in control panel and modify the settings
in choose the way users login and enable "Show the
welcome screen on startup".

control panel, user accounts, change the way users logon.

You find that start, help, 'logon' will answer this question rather
faster than I did - always worth trying the built in help (since you
already paid for it).

Hey don't feel bad mine did the same thing, only it

changed my password too so the only way I could get back
to my system was to reinstall win XP professional,which
meant reinstalling the 27 updates that put my computer
where it is now, working but only limited to running
microsoft programs but today, I am going to go to the
store and purchase windows 98, or some other tried and
true OS

When logged on with Admin status, go to Control Panel - User Accounts,
click Change way users log in, and check 'Use Welcome screen'
