Control Panel / Users and Passwords / Tick the box that requires
users to enter a Password / click your own name / Untick the above
box / click OK.

Hold the shift key while starting up in order to logon as another user.

Just to clarify the problem, the logon prompt is the windows logon screen. By
holding down the shfit key, can I sign in as a guest?

If the guest logon is not enabled, what are my other options? It has a admin
user name, but I can't find the password! I'm helping a friend out.
