Logon Picture

I have 2000 Pro and have my notebook set to automatically logon using a
specific user...in fact it is the only user configured for the system. When
windows is logging me on automatically, my wallpaper has a photo I took, but
once windows has actually loaded and I have my start bar showing, my
background changes to the picture I have configured within the display
settings of the control panel. I am not sure where in the registry that the
first picture is set because like I said, it is not the same I have
configured as my wallpaper. I first thought it was the wallpaper for "All
Users" and then when windows realizes that a specific user logged on, it
changes to that users specific settings. Please help ;-)

What I forgot to mention is I am trying to remove or eliminate this first pic
from showing. I don't know the file name of the .jpg file or I would just
simply delete it, and I can't find it in my photo library either...so I am
lost and need to find it in the registry or appropriate file and delete it.
Thanks

Try this:

Turn OFF the Active Desktop, Change Wallpaper to NONE, Apply, then turn ON the
Active Desktop.

Now you can reselect the Wallpaper of your choice again.

You can toggle the Active Desktop ON and OFF as follows:
Right-click a blank area on the desktop, point to Active Desktop, and then click
Show Web Content to enable or disable this feature. A check mark next to the
text indicates that the Active Desktop is enabled.

There is a key structure under HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\ that is parallel to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER, e.g., HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop becomes
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop. The settings under .DEFAULT are
used when no user is logged on.

I believe you will find the path for your picture there as the (string)
value of Wallpaper.
