Logon password

I changed my computer setting from domain to workgroup and now I can't access the windows logon using my user id and password I used with the domain. Is there anyway of recovering the domain setting? Is there a way to by-pass the logon windows and access the system
So far all indications point to clean reinstall of windows XP and lost all the data. Any recommendation from anyone

I'm a bit rust with this, but, assuming you've tried reversing the changes
you made, and have a record of the userid, password and domain-name, you may
need to ask the domain administrator to re-add the workstation to the
domain.

Unfortunately, I am not with the organisation anymore and now I have moved to another country. I have been using the notebook as a standalone not on the network although it has the domain setting....until one day I decided to clean up the domain and I thought it was as simple as changing the computer setting to workgroup. I regret having done that because now I can't access the system anymore....Once I am in I can change it back to the old setting bcs I still have the information user id, password and the domain aswell. But, I can't pass the windows logon screen. Please help

Likely you are going to know either the local admin account's password or
some other local user account and password that has admin rights.

Otherwise there is free software available on the Internet that will allow
you to change any account's password. Not sure if it is ok to post the link
on the newsgroup or not.
