Dear all,

I would like that users of portable computer are allowed
to use there PC only if they are loged on the domain.

In other words I do not want they are able to use their
laptop if they disconnect the network cable.

How can I configure that ??

thnaks for your help
regards
serge

That can be configured via security policy. under local policy-->security options. change number of previous logons on cache to 0.

however...keep in mind that this makes troubleshooting a bad NIC or F'd up network settings a pain without giving out the local admin password to the user.

as I am the only administrator of thos users laptop I can
do that safely ?

I want to set this to avoid security data dispatching

thanks for your comments
regards
serge

Also, beside disabling login with cached credentials as
covered in the other post, just to completeness, to meet
your stated requirements you also need to make sure you
have taken control over machine local accounts and the
right to log on.
