Logon Loop

When I login to XP Home it starts like it's going to enter
windows then takes me right back to the logon screen. I
can get into safe mode just fine. Anyone know how to fix
this?

Hi,

Check your settings here: Start/Run/Regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

In the right pane, scroll down to Shell and make sure it reads:
Explorer.exe

one of the systems we dealt with started playing "Bang The Drum"... it
then proceeded to reboot after the second verse... lol.
