When a user logs off and then another user attempts to logon, the system
hangs. When ctrl-alt-del is pressed, the system displays he users wallpaper
but does not logon. pc must be restarted. Any ideas?

Does this happen with all users or just one account?

It happens when any user logs off and any other tries to log on. The problem
does not seem to occur if the same user tries to log on again before anyone
else does.

Also, I running SP2 and all available updates from Windows Update.

Are you using "Fast User Switching" ?, perhaps your resources are
being overloaded trying to preserve all the "Sleeping" profiles.

Go to Control Panel, Users applet and click Change the way users
log on and off. Uncheck the box Use Fast User Switching. Shut
down the PC (Power off), reboot and then try to change users.

No difference.
