Logon hangs, Windows 2000 Server

Hi
My server takes a long time to start, stalling at the 'preparing network
connections' splash screen, then it goes to the logon prompt, but after you
type your password and press enter, it just hangs and sometimes puts up the
message that 'the netlogon service cannot be started' but there is no
specific error number. Any ideas?

Hi,

This may be due to network topologies.How many DC's do you have in the
network.Is there a group policy in effect.
