Logon Error

I just finished installing XP home SP2 on my home computer, (had about a
million errors though). It finally finished, well it asked me in the initial
setup how many users I wanted to put on, I setup my brother and myself. No
Passwords. I get to the logon screen and now it says I need a password to
continue. I tried hitting enter with no password, (just like in the recovery
console) and it doesnt work, Ive tried EVERYTHING i can think of, ive tried
different passwords that i use (even though ive never had windows on this
drive) Ive tried to reset the passwords wont work and ive tried to start in
Safemode, wont work. Ive even tried last known good, it didnt and counldnt
help cause this happened on the first boot. Im really stuck. Things ive
noticed different are that there is NO option to turn it off or restart or
anything.
Is this a error that needs a wipe and reinstall or repair? Please help me i
need to get this computer going and im running out of options.

PS. The errors I had were hardware errors involving the 34min error spoken
of in the knowledge base.

If your installation reported a "million errors" (your words) then
it would be best if you started afresh, paying close attention to
all questions about account names and passwords.

If you have fewer then a million errors then you might be able
to salvage your installation by booting the machine with a boot
disk from the link below so that you can reset the administrator's
password to a blank.
