Under XP Pro SP2, using classic logon screen, I want to be able to choose
among domains at logon. Can maintain same user ID, PW, comp name across
domains.
I understand I cannot join multiple domains concurrently. Situation is that
I now work for two unrelated companies. I want to maintain one laptop and
all of my user customization and CHOOSE which domain I am connecting to at
logon (local, domain1, domain2).
I've been researching this for days (after a blow up using the CP => system
=> change routine) thru KB, TechNet, Petri & O'Reilly. By inference, I think
it can be done thru some combination of trusted domains, copy user profile,
etc. BUT...I can't drill down to a workable solution.
This is fairly critical to me; I've got to believe some network support
person out there wants to maintain their desktop, settings, etc. when
connecting across mutliple clients' nets!
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Feel free to point me to more
resources. Advise if this needs posting in a different group.
