logon attempts on domain-controller

Hi,

since some weeks something strange happens to our two
W2000-domain-controllern :

Sporadically external IP-Adresses try to logon on at these machines -
fortunately unsuccessfully.
And especially when we created a new Account we directly note attempts to
logon with this new account.

I suppose a trojan is installed on the machines. Do you agree with me or
does anybody have another idea what causes this behavior?
