Logoff hotkeys

Have an odd happening that I want to rule out the user
on. Is there a way to log off of Win2k without any
warning messages appearing, such as hotkeys. Have a user
who was working in a few applications, and had windows log
her off without any warning. She wears a wrist brace for
carpal tunnel, and a hotkey is my first suspicion, but I
and no one I have talked to know of any. Let me know if
you have any ideas.

Thanks,
Jeff

I don't know of any hotkey to logoff or shutdown, only to lock the
workstation (win-L), or if you're on an empty desktop and you hit Alt-F4 it
will bring up the shutdown box, but it won't automatically shutdown.

Some possible things I can think of:
- Someone is doing a remote shutdown or logoff accross the network.
- A malicious piece of spyware/virus is causing this.
- A custom hotkey has been defined - most likely via a third-party utility

If you think it still might be a Windows hotkey, you can disable them by
following the information here:

FWIW, my 2 year old grandson has found a way to shut down Windows 2000
without the shutdown box appearing on the screen. He's managed this on
both my laptop and desktop units.

I don't know what combination of keys he's hitting, but he can definitely
make it happen.

The power button can be set to do exactly that.
