I have a Dell laptop running Win2K OS, which logs onto a
PDC Win2K server running AD. When logging onto the laptop
to the domain i get this error message '''the system
cannot log you onto the domain because the systems
computer account in its primary domain is missing''. The
messge is intermittent,when I pull the network cable it
sometimes logs on. Any answers guys.. respond directly
through the email address

If it logs on when you pull the cable, you are probably logging onto the domain with
cached credentials. There is a problem with the "computer account/password" and
unjoining the computer from the domain, deleting the account in ADUC, and rejoining
it to the domain making sure it points to the domain controller as it's preferred dns
server in tcp/ip properties first will probably fix the problem. --- Steve
