I'm having difficulty uploading my webpage to the server.
When asked for my username, I input it along with my
password. Then the username is changed to the domain
name plus my user name ie www.clark\myotis

Any ideas on what's going on...

go into "my network places" and delete the web shortcut.
then in FrontPage click help/ detect and repair.

try to publish again.

If it's still a no-go, come on back. ;-)
