Login Problems

Normal login means I usually press the profile at the
login page and then my desktop is loaded (ie no password
set). Now I am being prompted for a password and whatever
is typed the reponse is that the machine cannot contact
the 'Home' domain. This is the same for admin login via
classic login screen. Any ideas ???
