login problem

I am having issues logging into Hotmail and Amazon. When
trying to login, I get the "page cannot displayed"
message. Logging into other sites (e.g. Yahoo!) isn't a
problem so I am wondering if it isn't my security
settings or something like that (I'm grasping, I'm pretty
clueless really). I should also note that I have deleted
all of my cookies and toyed around with the IE cookies
settings, but neither of those actions has eliminated the
problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Rule out parasites.

It may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look also for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS.
