saving login info

I need help configuring my security settings in IE 6 to allow my login
information to be saved when I log in to my internet home page. I have set
all values to their default settings (ie: cookie handling, internet zone
settings, intranet zone settings, trusted sites setings, etc.), but everytime
I either log off or turn IE off, my login information is not saved, even
after clicking on the save my login information check box. It used to work
fine until I re-installed my OS. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to
configure my IE settings so that I don't have to enter my email address and
password every single time I start up IE?

I am using xp pro with IE version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_ sp2

Thanks in advance,
