Login Passwords Showing up in Plain Text

When logging into our network using XP--my computer
doesn't put in the typical "********" in the password
field. It shows the plain text. Anyone had this problem
before??

Check for viruses and spyware.
Or someone probably installed a 3rd party application that causes that
deliberately or as a side effect.

Your machine is not secure.
The real login prompt distributed with the OS
will not do this.
