My account has admininstrative privileges, and I have had no password,
which has meant that I could restart the computer and then go and put
up coffee (no need to stay around waiting to fill in the password).
But, I needed to schedule a task, and it required a password. So, I
created one, and now, I never get any coffee.
Now, I know that there is a way around this, but I do not know that
way. How do I know? Because Norton Antivirus and LiveUpdate uses
"Scheduled tasks" and it worked even when I had no password. Would
anyone know how Symantec does it, or any other way to avoid the
password requirement?
If it is not possible for us normal dudes, would there possibly be some
external scheduler one could use, one that took over the function of
"Scheduled tasks" and that did not require a login password?
Grateful for tips.
