Login Issues when away from Domain

When the corporate notebooks are off the domain network (out of the office)
they take around 30 mins to log into the laptops.

Normal speed up until the logon fields. Then once placed username and
password it takes about 30 mins to get into the laptop.

This has only occured after WSUS has updated all patches.

try to logon "this computer" instead of domain. Does that make difference?

I had the same problem too, but then It will ask me my uid/pwd for every
network resource each first time I try to access every server on the
network! (once I logged on the server I can use all the resources from
it)...

Robert,

This only happens when trying to connect to DOMAIN off the network. Before
the updates this logged in a lot quicker then 30 mins or so. Tested on local
domain and connected fine.
