login icon missing

My daughter tried to log-on using my icon and password.
The password was wrong
Now my icon no longer appears, thus I cannot login
I am the system administrator so cannot to a system restore as no-one else
is authorised.

Can anyone explain how I can get my login icon back

Hi - this doesn't make a lot of sense. Her failing to log in successfully to
your account should have no bearing on which accounts show up on your
welcome screen.

Are you using XP Home, or Pro?
