I have a XP Pro box with 2 user accounts set up. The first user can log on
to Windows Messenger without any problems. For the second user, the login
always fails, the error message suggesting that the username or password are
invalid.
The second user can log in from any other machine in the office without any
problems with the exact same user credentials, so the Passport account and
login details are definately valid.
I have been through the checklist that Jonathan Kay has posted to other
users on this forum with log in problems (ie IE6 security settings, computer
date time etc). None have rectified the problem. Bizarrely, if I go to User
Accounts->Advanced and click the .NET button and go through the setup
proceedure with the same login/password details, it completes without error.
When I try to log in via messenger, the login fails again.
Any ideas?

Note: The XP box is part of a domain. I have updated to the latest build of
Messenger available.
