Dear Mr. Steve,

Ok, The previous machine we used domain concept to logon
in the NT Server, to make our system more powerful then
the old one is replaced with Compaq proline. However, the
system unrecognize that concept, therefore my admin system
try to change it with workgroup concept. The consequence
is needed more effort to utilize resource in the server
such as remapping drive at server to client level.

Best Regards,

Mahnansa

Well you don't give a whole lot of information however refer to the KB below on
problems that may occur if there are incompatibilty
problems with secutiy options on

I don't understand why a more powerful machine would have problems being a domain
controller. Probably the admin was not sure how to migrate or set it up correctly. If
you have more than a few computers, they should really look into creating a domain.
As far as drive mapping, you have the option to make it persistent/reconnect at
logon. There is also an option on the server to disconnect idle sessions that can be
changed if need be to keep shares from being disconnected every 15 minutes [default
value]. You can use "net config server" to view the idle session time limit and use
"net config server /autodisconnect:xx " to change the time to number of minutes you
desire. --- Steve
