Login doesn't work

I've followed everything to a T, and in fact got logging in working on
another site, but for some reason that I'm not able to see....logging
on for this new site doesn't work.

It just doesn't find any members in the MembershipProvider (put in some
stupid code that should change the page's title if there are any
members in the membership provider). BUT if I debug it, it opens the
site on localhost, and everything works like gravy.

Any ideas of what could be wrong? Really need some help, thanks in
advance!

I used the aspnet_regsql tool to create the tables followed by the
asp.net config tool to populate the users, and it appears fine. And if
I am able to login properly through localhost, then I don't see how
that could be the issue anyways.

I'm just not sure why it would work from localhost but not find any
users in the Membership when I access via the internet.

Any other ideas?

Success! It works!

Basically the issue was "applicationName" wasn't set and now I'm
setting it to the proper application name (even setting it to "/"
didn't work).
