Hi All,

Is it possible to do the above so that I can tell which shutdown process is
causing the six minutes of waiting everytime I shutdown? Ideally it would be
good to see some sort of log file that says for instance:
Process time started
svchost.exe 2005-10-10 15:15:12
..
..
..

Does anything like this exist?

Go to the MS Knowledge base and search for the "uphclean" utility. It was
designed for this, and it should write an event in the event log pointing
the finger to the culprit(s).
